About us . who are we?
Me (Zé) and Luísa are a couple and we have 2 beautiful and inspiring kids, Vasco and Rodrigo. João is my baby brother with whom I grew up together and we both have the best childhood memories ever.
Destin Parks once said “photography is the story I fail to put into words”! Most likely that’s the reason why I always had a camera around since I know myself.
About us . How this family became os pixel, a team of destination wedding videographers from portugal
We are Zé, Luísa and João and we are the boys and girl behind the cameras.
We did a backpack travel to Southeast Asia in August 2011. Our lives were at a turning point and we had no idea of it. Back then, we all had different 9am-17pm jobs, nothing related with photography or video.
As soon as we come back from Asia, I edited the footage I grabbed, no iPhones nor fancy stuff back than, just a Sony mini DV camera.
A few months later a wedding photographer (friend of Luisa’s sister) came across that edit on Vimeo. He did invite us to shoot a wedding video, and just like that, we took a Canon 1100d to a wedding. We had absloutely no idea how to shoot and edit a wedding film. At the end, we just did what it felt right.
Several months later we were quiting our jobs and now, over 10 years latter here we are! We really couldn't see it coming, we now have 2 amazing boys which are our obsession and lucky enough we get to spend soooo much time with them! We travel the world doing what we love and we met so many good people along the way. We feel so humbled everyday.

Zé is a free spirit. He stands for his ideas and his people till the end. At work, no one is so passionate and comitted as he is. Yet, in his personal life, the only routine he loves is to spend his time playing with the boys. He lives one day at a time without an agenda. Oh, and he loves to travel, although hates airplanes.
Luísa

Luísa is quite the opposite. Methodic and organized, delicate and perfectionist. Nervous and shy but a neverendig cup of love to their beloved ones. She’s not a big fan of cooking but, then again, she loves with all her heart to be the mother of two happy boys.
João

João is the youngest, yet he’s the wiser. Amazing uncle and always available, both personally and professionally. He’s our own “Macgyver” and our point of equilibrium. On his side ,we can not expect other than security. He’s a conciliatory but shy. Yet ,the most given person ever… Francisco has a hell of a father.
We are all similar, yet so different. this is what makes us individuals and that’s what we want to EMPHASIZE on our films - individuality.
